With a background as a financial analyst and resource planning manager, Margo ensures the event remains affordable and accessible for all participants.
Her professional background includes marketing and IT, which supports effective event promotion and smooth operations.
Margo’s recovery from a serious injury in 2008 deepened her commitment to the equestrian community and charitable causes, further fuelling her leadership and vision for YOTH.
Margo has significant experience as a business analyst, applying analytical thinking and structured problem-solving to equestrian and corporate projects. Her ability to gather requirements, assess processes, and deliver actionable insights supports the effective design and continuous improvement of YOTH.
Margo’s approach is highly inclusive, focusing on everyday riders and fostering a strong sense of community. Her vision for YOTH is to create a fun, affordable, and special event for everyone, filling the gap left by the cancelled national show.
From 2005–2011, Margo led Tielcey Park Equestrian Centre, running a relentless calendar of shows that were known for their fun, affordability, and inclusivity. Her leadership at Tielcey Park set a benchmark for grassroots equestrian events in New Zealand.
